Gerald “Jerry” Adams, 80, passed away on December 3, 2018 at Mennonite Friendship Communities in South Hutchinson. He was born March 11, 1938 in Colby, Kansas the son of Dean and Marie (Schulte) Adams.
On November 4, 2006 he married Virginia Rich in Hutchinson.
Jerry and Virginia enjoyed traveling, making many trips to Texas in their RV during the winter months. They also vacationed with friends and family enjoying life on the road and making memories. They were longtime members of the Good Sam RV club as well.
For many years Jerry was employed in the insurance industry as an insurance agent. He also worked for Pattons Insurance, Superior Boilers and Midkansas Marine.
Jerry held a church membership with the 1st Congregational Church of Hutchinson.
Preceding him in death are his parents and two sons, Howard Mobley and Christopher Rich.
Survivors include his wife Virginia; a son, Michael Mobley, Herndon, VA; four daughters, Tammy (Gary) Arnett, Blue Springs, MO., Debra (Chuck) Wichita; Anita Rich, Wichita and Marsha Stone, Nickerson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family will be greeting guests from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2018, at the 1st Congregational Church in Hutchinson. Pastor Matt Stafford will be presiding.
Family will have a private burial at a later date.
