Harold C. Widup, 60, died on June 3, 2017 in Hutchinson, Kansas. On October 17, 1956 he was born to Clifford W. and Kathleen (Brown) Widup in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Harold graduated from Nickerson High School in 1974 and then graduation Hutchinson Community College.
On July 10th, 1993, he married Patricia Jenks in Hutchinson. She passed away on February 1, 2013.
Harold was a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship Church. He had a passion for Gospel and Country Music.
Harold was member of the Kansas Western Hall of Fame and the Western Music Association. He was employed with KFDI radio as a DJ. Harold was also employed with the Hutchinson Correctional Facility, where he retired after 12 years of service.
He was involved with many country music concerts as Master of Ceremonies, including a few with the Grand Ole Opry with Porter Wagner and Dolly Pardon.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Patty.
Patty’s family was his family. He also left behind many of his Country western friends and church family. They will all greatly miss him.
Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, June 17th at 2:00 P.M. at the Full Gospel Fellowship Church, 501 E. Ave C, Hutchinson. Pastor Jerry Stokely will be presiding.
