Gwendolyn Jewel Daniels, 83, died on June 10, 2017 at the Hutchinson Hospice House. She was born on January 14, 1934 to Hazel (Hamilton) and Lawrence T. Creech in Moorehead, Kansas.
On April 3, 1976 she married Clifford Daniels in Colorado Springs, CO. He died on December 14, 2010.
Gwendolyn retired from Mountain Bell after 37 years of service. She and Clifford then worked with as gatekeepers for the Corp of Engineers in Cherryvale. After retirement they relocated to Mission, Texas for fifteen years, before returning to Hutchinson.
Gwendolyn enjoyed watching her birds and butterflies. In her home you could find a collection of figurines and paintings of cardinals and blue jays, two of her favorite birds. She also enjoyed her monthly breakfast get together with her Breakfast Club.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her spouse; four sisters, Juanita and Nancy Creech, Mary Weitzel-Mangan and Bonnie Lopez and a step daughter, Margaret Kostal.
Survivors include her two children, Charlotte Hutchison and Casey Price; Step-children, Mike Daniels, Lauri Leyden, Junellen Fitch, Dean(Donna) Daniels and Susan (Doug) Sherman, Karl(Cristy) Daniels; brother Warren (Rosemary) Creech; 22 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 17th, 2017 at 12:30 P.M. at the Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th, and Hutchinson, KS.
